It investigates the emerging paradigm of connected robotic intelligence, in which autonomous robots become active elements of communication networks by jointly sensing, communicating, learning, and acting under realistic wireless constraints. The manuscript synthesizes contributions spanning learning-based control, the joint design of sensing, communication, and control, robust and generalizable autonomous decision-making, and experimental validation through connected robotics testbeds. Building on these contributions, it outlines future research directions toward scalable, adaptive, and trustworthy robotic systems for beyond-5G and 6G wireless networks.
