The Mines-Télécom oral examinations

To join EURECOM, candidates must take the oral examinations of the Mines-Télécom entrance competition, which are organized into three components.

  • Scientific examinations (30 minutes): covering mathematics, physics, industrial sciences, or computer science depending on the candidate’s stream. Exercises are solved without prior preparation time.
  • Interview (25 minutes): the discussion begins with an iconographic document used as a conversation starter before focusing on the candidate’s academic background, projects, and motivations.
  • English examination (20 minutes): including a self-presentation, a discussion based on an iconographic document, and a role-playing exercise. For both the interview and the English examination, a score below 4/20 is eliminatory.

Out of a total coefficient of 30, mathematics carries significant weight (coefficient 8 in all streams), alongside the English examination and the interview (coefficient 7 each).

Dates, locations and practical information

Candidates can select their examination date and venue online from Tuesday, June 16 (8:00 a.m.) to Thursday, June 18 (6:00 p.m.).
The oral examinations will take place from June 23 to July 10, 2026, at one of three locations:

  • Paris (Lycée Maurice Ravel)

On the day of the examination, candidates must bring their admission notice and a valid form of identification.
All three examination centers offer catering services (between €6 and €15 per meal). Affordable student accommodation is also available in Paris (€40 per night, including breakfast) and in Évry (€30 per night).
